- Dubai, Sep 27 (IANS) The umpire decision review system which was first used in the India-Sri Lanka Test series received a positive feedback in the three-day International Cricket Council’s (ICC) seminar of umpires and referees that concluded this week. The ICC said that review system will be extended to future Tests as well. “For me, the most interesting thing was the detail surrounding the decision review system and the upcoming further trials. There was very positive feedback from the first trial (in the Sri Lanka v India series) and now we want to continue those trials and make a really in-depth analysis of the system,” Emirates Elite Panel umpire Steve Davis said in a statement after the conclusion of the seminar.
“We need to be open-minded when considering the system and we are committed to being objective and giving it a real good try,” he added.
