Gorakhpur, Apr 4 (ANI): Surya Kiran, the aerobatics team of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Friday demonstrated breathtaking air stunts in Gorakhpur.
The Indian Air Force is organising such shows across the country to familiarise the public with the activities of the force.
This air show is to motivate the youth. You must have seen, there are several school students and civilians here at the base. We stage this spectacular display for the youth and civilians, so that they are attracted to join the defence forces, especially the air force. Our main aim is to motivate them, said Joy Thomas Kurien, Wing Commander and team leader of Surya Kiran.
The crowd was delighted by the spectacular feats of ME8 aircraft zooming up into the sky.
The officers displayed brilliant pyrotechnics with their aircraft touching the sky at a whopping speed of 200 to 600 kmph at a height band of 30 to1500 meters.
Another highlight of the show was parachuting that mesmerized youngsters. (ANI)
