How WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange described himself on dating website
December 14th, 2010 - 12:55 pm ICT by ANILondon, Dec 14 (ANI): Just a few years ago the mastermind behind WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, was nothing more than a lonely single male who was looking for love on an on-line dating website, it has emerged.
An Internet profile, which apparently belonged to the Wikileaks founder, has shown that he portrayed himself as a roguish secret agent and unashamed Lothario.
The profile also showed that Assange supposedly claimed that he is “87pc slut” and bragged about having “Asian teengirl stalkers”.
The 36-year-old says he seeks somebody with “spunk” who is an “erotic non-confomist” and ideally from a place of turmoil as “Western culture seems to forge women that are valueless and inane”.
“Do not write to me if you are timid. I am too busy. Write to me if you are brave,” the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.
It is not clear if the profile does indeed belong to Assange, who is notoriously protective of his private life, although his biographical details are correct and the last login was December 31 2006, before he achieved worldwide fame through Wikileaks.
The profile appears on dating website OkCupid under the name Harry Harrison, a science fiction writer who wrote a series of books about a character called Stainless Steel Rat, an intergalactic criminal mastermind who used his wits to evade the law.
Assange writes that his job is “directing a consuming, dangerous human rights project which is, as you might expect, male dominated”.
He says he is involved in international journalism/books, documentaries, cryptography, intelligence agencies, civil rights, political activism, white collar crime and the Internet.
But he wastes no time in playing on the kudos and mystery the role brings him and tells all potential admirers: “I am DANGER, ACHTUNG, and ??????????????!”
“Want a regular, down to earth guy? Keep moving. I am not the droid you’re looking for. Save us both while you still can,” he added.
Assange says in the profile that his ideal woman should “spirited and playful, of high intelligence, though not necessarily formally educated, have spunk, class & inner strength and be able to think strategically about the world and the people she cares about.”
His perfect mate would be a “siren for a love affair, children and occasional criminal conspiracy”, he said.
To the question of what are the six things he could not do without, he writes: “I could adapt to anything except the loss of female company and carbon.”
The most private thing he is willing to admit is that he has “Asian teengirl stalkers” but does not elaborate further.(ANI)
