Hotmail users ‘furious’ to find empty inboxes, missing folders
January 2nd, 2011 - 2:42 pm ICT by ANILondon, Jan 2 (ANI): Microsoft Hotmail users have blamed email giant MSN after missing mails and folders from their accounts.
A number of frantic users stormed at forums to vent their frustration claiming emails have been deleted from their accounts, reports the Daily Mail.
“Please help me get them back,” one user under the moniker ‘Zacgore’ posted, Saturday.
” All my kids, info and pictures are in there!” the user complained.
Others complain that the majority of the e-mail in their inboxes was sent to their deleted mail folders instead.
It is not known yet how many account holders are affected.
Though is still unclear whether the problem lies with Microsoft, which owns MSN, or whether it is the work of hackers, Windows Live support technicians have said in numerous threads that the Hotmail team is aware of the problem and working on a fix.
“At this point it appears to be a limited issue, and Microsoft is working with individual users who are impacted. We apologise for any inconvenience to our customers,” Microsoft spokeswoman Catherine Brooker said.
However, she refused to disclose what caused the glitch. (ANI)
