He sealed robbery with a kiss
June 19th, 2012 - 5:15 pm ICT by IANSRome, June 19 (IANS) A man was arrested in Rome Tuesday for robbing a pharmacy with a hammer, and giving the pharmacist a kiss before leaving the crime scene, AKI news agency reported.
Police said the 36-year-old man used a hammer as a weapon to rob the pharmacy in June last year.
He forced the proprietor to hand over 1,500 euros from the cash register, and before leaving the shop, he gave the pharmacist a kiss on the cheek.
Police were able to identify the suspect — known for having committed similar crimes — through witness testimony and images from a video surveillance camera.
It was, however, not known whether the pharmacist was a man or a woman.
