Hamas militant killed in Gaza mysterious explosion
April 24th, 2010 - 7:46 am ICT by IANSGaza, April 24 (IANS) An Islamic Hamas movement militant was killed Friday night in an explosion in southern Gaza City, medics and witnesses said.
The witnesses said that ambulances and rescue teams rushed to Zeitoon neighbourhood in southern Gaza City, where a huge blast wrecked the area, adding that they found one militant dead, Xinhua reported.
Medics said that Ahmed al-Hajeen was killed in a mysterious explosion inside a building in Zeitoon neighborhood, adding that no other casualties were reported.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas movement in Gaza, said al-Hajeen was killed during a special mission, without giving further details over the conditions of his death.
