Gordon Brown denies hitting claims

London, Feb 21 (ANI): British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said allegations that he hit a member of his staff are completely untrue.
Chief political commentator Andrew Rawnsley’s new book apparently contains alleged details of the leader being abusive towards the people working around him.
However, Brown has dismissed ever misbehaving with his staff members.
“Let me just say, absolutely clearly, so that there is no misunderstanding about that: I have never, never hit anybody in my life,” Sky News quoted him as telling Channel 4.
On being asked if he might have shoved someone, Brown replied: “No, I don’t do these sorts of things.
“Look, I was brought up - my father, I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone and I always think when you’re - the heat of the moment you say things sometimes.
“Of course you do get angry, mostly with yourself. And I know - really, I know - that I’m not perfect. But I know where I come from, I know what I stand for, and I know who I came into politics to represent.
“But I’m very strong willed, I’m very determined. Ay allegations that have been made about hitting people or anything are completely untrue.” (ANI)
