Gilani greets Manmohan Singh on Independence Day

Islamabad, Aug 15 (IANS) Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani Monday greeted his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh on the occasion of India’s Independence Day.
“On behalf of the people of Pakistan and on my own behalf, I avail this opportunity to extend my greetings and felicitations to you and to the people of India on the Independence Day of India,” Online news agency quoted Gilani as saying in the message of greetings on the occasion.
“On this day, I would like to reiterate our desire to have harmonious, cooperative and friendly relations between our two countries to achieve our shared goal of peace, progress and prosperity,” he said.
