Giant rats invade Prince Charles’ garden
September 16th, 2010 - 5:57 pm ICT by ANILondon, Sep 16 (ANI): Prince Charles’ beautiful grounds at Clarence House have been invaded by giant rats.
The huge rodents have become troublemakers for exhibitors at a garden party being held by the Prince - by greedily consuming their prized fruit and vegetables.
“We’ve lost strawberries and our tomatoes got nibbled overnight - it’s all down to the rats,” the Sun quoted a cheesed-off stallholder.
Charles, 61, and wife Camilla, 63, visited the 12-day bash to promote start the Prince’s tour pushing sustainability.
The couple, joined by guests including Brian Blessed and Jools Holland, has a laughter riot at a ‘cat organ’ of squeaky toys performing somewhere over the rainbow.
However, a source said the rodents were considered no laughing matter and revealed that the rats have become more of a problem, as they seem to be increasing in both number and size.
“Because we’re organic we can’t get rid of them by using too many rat killers,” said a worried source from Clarence House. (ANI)
