Ghaziabad businessman killed
October 23rd, 2010 - 9:25 pm ICT by IANSGhaziabad, Oct 23 (IANS) A businessman, who ran five jewellery shops, was kidnapped and later killed by three people Saturday in Kavinagar area here, police said.
Three people forcibly entered the vehicle driven by 42-year-old trader Atul Goel and directed him at gunpoint to drive, Goel’s son Shubham said.
Police said Goel might have tried to resist his abductors upon which he was shot dead. Goel’s body was found in the vehicle.
He sustained one bullet injury in his head, said doctor V.K. Tyagi of Yashoda Hospital where he was rushed after the incident.
Meanwhile, the local traders’ organisation staged a demonstration demanding the arrest of the killers.
