London, Sep 28 (ANI): A 34-year-old German musician gave concerts in eight countries this weekend within 24 hours in an attempt to break a world record.

Vicente Patiz started from northwestern German city of Oberhausen on Saturday and then drove more than 600 miles to give more concerts in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, concluding his final performance of the tour in Austria on Sunday.

The concerts, at which Patiz played Mediterranean guitar music that he had composed himself, lasted up to 90 minutes and were attended by between 20 and 100 people.

“The concerts weren’t all held at sociable times, It was a bit difficult to get the Swiss to come to a concert first thing on Sunday morning. I’m a little bit tired but very proud,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

The feat is due to be entered into the Guinness World Records, he added.

Jeff Aug holds the current world record, who gave six concerts in six countries within 24 hours in March 2009. (ANI)
