July 26, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The double lives of the priests in Rome were exposed by a sensational cover story recently, which showed the gay scene inside a Roman Catholic Church.

In an undercover report, the camera captured the alleged homosexual encounters of three clerics. The Roman Catholic churches consider homosexuality as a sensitive issue and for them it is sinful to have any sexual activity outside marriage. A video titled ‘Gay Priests’ Nights on the Town’ has therefore created a furor.

The Italian magazine ‘Panorama’ said that the priests are busy making nocturnal trips to clubs. The gay clerics were asked by the Catholic Church authorities to leave the priesthood. The gay priests were asked to come out of their closet too.

The magazine reported that three gay priests were interviewed by them in Rome, who went to the gay clubs. These gay priests had sexual encounters with strangers and one of them did it even inside a church building.

According to the report of Panorama, a Frenchman identified one priest as Paul, who took Mass in the morning and then he drove the two escorts he had hired last night to attend a party, bacto the airport. A statement from the Rome diocese criticized such priests and said most of the priests in Rome are honest to their vocations and they were thought to be models of morality.

The diocese added, “Those priests are unable to remain truthful to their vows are not forced to remain priests. They are not here to take advantages of the benefits.”

Recently, another Connecticut priest made headlines after he was arrested for making trips to the strip bars and keeping male escorts.
