Washington, August 26, 2010 (Just Flashed): A Mohammedan taxi driver named Ahmed Sharif had been gashed in an assault on Tuesday in New York City. The individual accused of perpetrating this vicious and merciless assault happens to Michael Enright. Enright is a student in a college. The victimized cabbie has now gained empathy across America from organizations devoted to the maintenance of civil rights and other secular outfits. Sharif is expected to journey to the New York City Hall to interact with the Mayor of the city, Michael Bloomberg.

Cabbie Sharif has articulated that Enright called over his taxi on Tuesday and inquired whether Sharif is a Mohammedan or not. Sharif issued a response that he is Islamic. Then, Enright unexpectedly erupted and began to batter him. Sharif, as a result, endured a grave laceration in his neck.

Enright is presently locked up on the indictments of attempted slaughter and battering as hate crimes.

Nevertheless, in an ironic twist to this distasteful saga of racism, it has been revealed that Enright had been a volunteer dedicated to the promotion of interfaith harmoniousness. Jason Martin happens to be the defense lawyer of Enright. Martin has disclosed that Enright is an honors student, who volunteered in the war zone in Afghanistan. Enright had functioned for Intersections International (II), which endorses interfaith open-mindedness. II has also backed the planned erection of a mosque in close proximity to Ground Zero. The projected construction of this mosque has engendered colossal divisiveness in the American society on racial and ideological grounds. Detractors of this proposed mosque have vociferously asserted that this mosque should be built far away from Ground Zero since Ground Zero represents the location, which was obliterated by the Mohammedan terrorists in September 2001.

Michael Bloomberg has been a committed endorser of this mosque project. He has requested the cabbie to come to the City Hall on Thursday.
