Wellington, April 5 (IANS) A fine century by Gautam Gambhir helped India make 349 for five in their second innings and take a huge 531-run lead against New Zealand on the third day of the third and the final cricket Test here Sunday.
At close of play, India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was batting on 16 and Yuvraj Singh on 15 after Gambhir scored an aggressive 167. V.V.S. Laxman (61) and Rahul Dravid (60) also got half-centuries in what could be said as their last innings on New Zealand soil.
India made 379 runs in their first innings and bowled out New Zealand for 197.
