Jan 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Residents of the Hillsborough County are indeed having a tough time as they try to console their children who are perplexed about the recent happening at the neighborhood where a 50 year old mother has killed her own teenaged children. The whole neighborhood has been in shock after Julia Powers Schenecker was arrested on Friday morning for having shot her son and daughter. Friends and neighbors of the children held a candlelight vigil outside the Schenecker’s home on Friday night.

The mother who has admitted the crime instead of being taken to the court was taken to the Tampa General Hospital where she is being treated for a medical condition that she has been suffering from prior to the act. Friends of the two children who had gathered outside the Hillsborough County home, kept on uttering that it was the most shocking thing they could ever believe. Infact they were seen telling that the kids were not at all like how their mother has described them. Julia Powers Schenecker told the police that she killed the kids because they were too mouthy. However, friends of the 13 year old Beau Powers Schenecker and 16 year old Calyx Powers Schenecker have different views. Cristina Yelvingto, a friend of the deceased Calyx Powers Schenecker said that the girl was the most perfect person that she had ever met. She was not only beautiful from outside but from within as well.

Amidst the mental crisis that has hit the neighborhood, Tsila Kirsch, a clinical psychologist who is also a part of the community has started offering free counseling to families who trying to cope with the unfortunate incident. Yvonnne Moose who along with her daughter attended the memorial service said that it is just unthinkable when someone hears of the mishap.
