Fresh aftershock jolts quake-hit Chinese province

- Kunming (China), July 13 (Xinhua) A moderate aftershock jolted south China’s Yunnan province early Monday after an earthquake hit the area Thursday evening and damaged 625,000 houses.
The 4.7 magnitude quake rocked Yao’an county at midnight and lasted about 10 seconds.
Thursday’s earthquake, which measured 6 on the Richter scale, killed one woman and injured 367.
Rescuers have evacuated 255,000 people, local authorities said. The people have been relocated to tents, makeshift houses or homes of relatives.
After Thursday’s quake, 30,832 houses collapsed and another 625,000 were damaged.
