The raid took place in three places of Jalisco state.
Troops discovered 1,300 kg of methamphetamine and 710 kg of chemical substances at a laboratory in Tlajomulco de Zuniga city, the defence secretariat said.
Military personnel raided another laboratory in Tala, and seized 1,150 kg of chemical products as well as weapons and ammunition.
Another drug lab was discovered in Zapopan, where soldiers confiscated 10 kg of amphetamines and 875 kg of chemical substances.
President Felipe Calderon has given the army the lead role in the battle against the country’s numerous heavily armed drug cartels. Drug-related violence has, however, claimed more than 50,000 lives since he took office in 2006.
