Four Shia pilgrims killed in Pakistan gun attack (Lead)
June 22nd, 2011 - 8:46 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, June 22 (IANS) At least four people were killed and 11 others were injured when unidentified gunmen fired at a bus carrying about 30 pilgrims in Pakistan’s Quetta city Wednesday afternoon, Xinhua reported.
The pilgrims were on their way from Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan province, to neighbouring Iran. The attack took place in the Hazar Gunji area, the report said.
All the pilgrims were minority Shia Muslims, Urdu TV channel Dunya reported.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
