Novosibirsk (Russia), Feb 23 (RIA Novosti) Four people were killed in a fire at a nightclub in Omsk in Russia’s western Siberia Saturday, an emergency department spokesman said. A fire following an explosion was reported in a two-storey nightclub, Golden Cliff, at 8.22 a.m. The fire covered an area of 750 square metres on the upper floor of the club, the official said.
“By the time the fire was stamped out more than three hours later, it had killed two men and two women and destroyed almost the entire building,” he added.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
