Four killed as ship sinks off Alaska’s harbour

Los Angeles, March 24 (Xinhua) Four crewmembers have been killed after a ship sank off Alaska’s Dutch Harbour, coastguard officials have said.. The Seattle-based fishing sank off Alaska’s Dutch Harbour early Sunday morning, prompting the crewmembers to abandon the ship, said coastguard official Eric Eggan.

The coastguard officials managed to rescue 43 crewmembers while four drowned and feared dead, said Eggan.

Investigation into the cause of the accident is underway, he said.
