Four held in Britain on terrorism charges
November 15th, 2011 - 6:39 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Nov 15 (IANS) Four men have been arrested in Britain on suspicion of travelling to Pakistan to undertake terrorist training, police said Tuesday.
Officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit detained the men at their homes in Birmingham, The Sun reported.
The men — whose identities and nationalities were not disclosed — are also suspected to have raised funds for terror purposes.
The men, aged between 19 and 24, were held as part of “Operation Pitsford”, a large-scale inquiry where eight other people have been charged with a variety of offences, a police spokesman said.
