Four drug traffickers hanged in Iran
July 20th, 2010 - 4:44 pm ICT by IANSBerlin, July 20 (DPA) Four convicted drug traffickers were hanged in Iran, news reports said Tuesday.
Three inmates were hanged Monday in a prison in the south-eastern city of Kerman, the daily Kayhan reported.
Another was hanged in a prison in the south-western city of Ahvaz after his death sentence was confirmed by the Supreme Court.
Murder, rape, armed robbery and trafficking of drugs weighing more than 5 kg are among crimes punishable by death in Iran.
