Four die in mid-air aircraft collision in BritainFebruary 12th, 2009 - 5:13 am ICT by IANS
London, Feb 12 (DPA) Two female teenage air cadets and two Royal Air Force (RAF) instructors were killed in a mid-air collision of two RAF training aircraft in Britain Wednesday.
The two light aircraft crashed over sand dunes in a nature reserve in south Wales, the police said.
The two girls were taking part as air training corps cadets in a half-hour flying experience offered by the RAF.
An RAF spokesman confirmed that two members of the RAF and two Air Training Corps cadets had “tragically died” in the crash.
An investigation was launched into the accident.
