Los Angeles, Feb 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) John Taylor Skilling, the 20-year-old son of former Enron boss Jeffrey Skilling was found dead at his Santa Ana, California home on Tuesday night, police officials have confirmed. Although the actual cause of his death continues to remain unknown, some of his close friends have reiterated that the 20-year-old was going through a rather low phase for the past few days after he had a break-up. The news of John Taylor Skilling’s demise has been confirmed by Daniel Petrocelli, one of his father’s attorney who also revealed that the death was related to medication.

While divulging details about the case, Anthony Bertagna, a spokesperson of the Santa Ana police said that the 20-year-old was found dead in his California apartment after he did not show up for dinner with friends on Tuesday night. The spokesperson further added that as his friends were aware that John Taylor Skilling was feeling rather despondent lately due to a recent break-up, they decided to go to his apartment where they found him dead. Police authorities have revealed that some prescription pills were discovered beside his body but added that it was too early to predict whether the 20-year-old had actually consumed it in a bid to commit suicide.

In the meanwhile, an attorney of the Jeffery Skilling, has said that he has approached the federal Bureau of Prisons in a bid to seek permission to allow his client to attend the funeral of his deceased son. The former Enron CEO is presently serving a jail term after being convicted of fraud and other charges which ultimately lead to the collapse of the energy giant.
