Flower festival begins in UAE

Sharjah, April 19 (IANS) The Al Qasba Flower Festival 2008, showcasing exotic flowers, has begun here and will include entertaining street shows. The festival was inaugurated Friday by United Arab Emirates (UAE) Environment Minister Rashid Ahmed Bin Fahad, WAM news agency reported.
The four-day event organized by Al Qasba Development Authority would showcase a large collection of flowers from around the world.
A number of retailers of flowers, perfumes and flower related products are participating in the event.
