Panaji, Feb 6 (IANS) Star England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff and his teammate Kevin Pietersen were sold for a whopping $1.5 million each to Chennai Super Kings and Bangalore Royal Challengers, respectively, at the second Indian Premier League (IPL) auction here Friday.Flintoff’s base price was $950,000 while Pietersen’s was $1.35 million.
South African sensation Jean Paul Duminy, who was the hero in the Proteas’ series win Australia, went to Mumbai Indians for $950,000.
IPL Champions Rajasthan Royals, made up for the absence of Pakistani bowler Sohail Tanveer, by buying Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait for $375,000.
