Fleeing thieves hurl Rolex watches at policemen
August 5th, 2010 - 12:06 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 5 (IANS) A group of thieves who were fleeing after breaking into a jewellery store in Britain hurled Rolex watches at chasing police personnel.
The six robbers had stolen the high value Rolex timepieces along with those of other brands such as Cartier and Tag Heuer from a jewellery store, The Sun reported Thursday.
Police personnel rushed to the store in Kingston, South West London, early Wednesday morning.
As police cars closed in, the robbers panicked and began throwing some of the 40 watches.
Two of the thieves were arrested in Sutton while two more were held in Wimbledon. The remaining two were on the run Wednesday night.
