Five stabbed to death in China
July 6th, 2010 - 9:22 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, July 6 (IANS) Five members of a family, including an infant, were stabbed to death by a man at a village in central China, police said Tuesday.
Wang Chengguo, his daughter-in-law, five-month-old granddaughter, sister and brother-in-law were killed Sunday in Shangboshu village of Anyang County in Hennan province. Wang’s six-year-old grandson was seriously injured, Xinhua reported.
Wang, 56, was the public security and mediation chief of Shangboshu and also acted as the village head.
The attacker Wang Haiyin, who surrendered after the incident, confessed that he planned the attack as the village head had withheld the government pension for his mother and refused to allocate land to him to build a house.
