Five die as man drives car into parade
February 15th, 2011 - 11:12 am ICT by IANSBeijing, Feb 15 (IANS) A man drove his car into a dragon dance parade in an eastern China province, killing five people and injuring many late Monday night, officials said Tuesday.The suspect was detained by police at 2 a.m. Tuesday, five hours after he escaped from the hit-and-run scene after he drove into the dragon dance parade at a highway section in Gao’an city in Jiangxi province, Xinhua reported citing officials.
Four dragon dancers were killed on the spot, while another died in the hospital.
