Fire In Baltimore’s Adult Entertainment Zone Brought Under Control

baltimoeBaltimore, Dec 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Baltimore’s infamous adult entertainment zone that is best known for its wide array of strip clubs and other parlors for A-rated entertainment, was witness to a massive fire on Monday afternoon that was initially sparked in a three-storey building. The blaze which was triggered at around 4 in the afternoon soon swept across the adjoining buildings, emanating thick smoke as the five-alarm fire engulfed as many as six buildings in the area. After much deliberation, the fire officials were able to bring the situation under control while reports of any kind of injuries has not been available till now.

A spokesperson of the fire department of Baltimore Battalion Chief Kevin Cartwright later told journalists that had gathered at the area that the fire which broke out in a three-storey building in the zone that is popularly known as ‘The Block’ was brought under control by the fire officials at around 7 in the evening after they worked unrelentingly to tame the blaze. The fire department spokesperson also confirmed that no injuries had been reported till Monday evening while adding that as many as 100 firefighters, support staff as well as paramedics tried their best to stop the blaze from spreading even further.

However, as of now the cause of the fire continues to remain unknown although a thorough investigation has been launched by the city officials to ascertain the cause of the blaze. The zone where the fire broke out on Monday afternoon is located between the Baltimore City Hall and the Inner Harbor and it hosts a number of popular strip clubs as well as other adult entertainment parlors.
