Final Bin Laden doomsday tape may be released by Al Qaeda disciples
May 3rd, 2011 - 4:37 pm ICT by ANINew York, May 3 (ANI): A doomsday tape made by Osama Bin Laden was poised to be released Monday by his Al Qaeda disciples.
U.S. officials feared the recording would be akin to a voice from the grave calling for a do-or-die jihad against the West, a final order of a terrorist madman, the New York Daily News reports.
It was unclear whether the tape is audio or video, but a U.S. official said intelligence indicates Bin Laden ordered it to be released in the event of his death.
The last tape was released 14 months ago, where he claimed responsibility for Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s Christmas Day 2009 attempt to ignite an underwear bomb on a Michigan-bound plane. (ANI)
