The Outlaw gang’s second member and president of the Maine chapter, Thomas “Taz” Benvie, 41, was arrested from his home on Railroad Avenue in Springvale. He was taken to the federal court in Portland on Tuesday and is kept in detention for hearing later. David Beneman, the lawyer of Benvie, said that he will go for bail application.

The ATF raid arrested 27 members. The local police and federal agents also conducted arrest in Brockton, Massachusetts under operation “Black Diamond” against the Outlaws.

The raid at the Brockton clubhouse involved at least 20 federal and local authorities. Multiple states issued arrest warrants on the charges of attempted narcotics, murder, weapons and racketeering conspiracy. Mayne’s brother-in-law Kenneth Chretian was also arrested for resisting the execution of a search warrant.

The Office of the Maine Attorney General investigating the use of deadly force, said that there were two men and two women in the home.
