Fatal Car Crash In Maryland Divulges Illegal Indoor Marijuana Farm

This became all the more obvious when a car crashed into the house of one such person residing in Ellicott City. Police in Maryland came across an indoor farm of marijuana while they were investigating a car crash where a young driver accidentally barged his car into a man’s house.

Richard Marriott, a 44 old resident of Ellicott City, Maryland had extensive marijuana growing operation carried on in his home. Police arrested him on Wednesday morning after they discovered the illegal marijuana farm. There were around 20 big pot plants, a hydroponic system, some few other small plants and lights, as the police reports said. Firefighters and cops were carrying on an investigation in Richard Marriott’s home after Bryan Bolster, a 20-year-old man crashed his BMW into the house at around 11 p.m. on Dec. 10. A part of the house burst into flames due to the crash. Unfortunately Bryan Bolster lost his life in the crash. Richard Marriott and one more person ran out of the house and were safe. Richard Marriott was accused of manufacturing of drugs, possessing drugs with the intention of distributing them, possessing marijuana, as well as the possession of drug production equipments.

According to Howard County cops, fire investigators were inspecting Richard Marriott’s home to find out any structural damage when they discovered the drugs. Richard Marriott was arrested yesterday and was fined $15,000 for his guilt. On Wednesday, he got released from the Howard County Detention Center. There are other court records against his name as well. Next month, he faces trial on charges of being under the influence of drugs and alcohol while driving.
