London, July 30 (ANI): Two women, who used to be best friends during childhood, were reunited after co-incidentally looking at their class snap in an old newspaper.

Bella Seeds, 97, and Harriet Marsden, 99 were admitted in the same nursing home but lost touch later.

However, they had lined up together for a class photo in 1919, which eventually helped them reunite.

Bella’s daughter Audrey Ingham, 70, took the rare copy of the newspaper to Bexton Court respite home in Knutsford, Cheshire, to make her great-grandmother recollect her schooldays.

Surprisingly, when she pointed out her pal in the snap, Harriet exclaimed: “That’s me!”

“I was chatting to Bella when Harriet looked over and said ‘that’s me’, sitting next to Bella. Now they are even better friends than they were then,” the Sun quoted Audrey as saying.

Bella who worked at a bakery earlier in her life said: “We have been doing a lot of catching up. We used to play hopscotch together. It was a happy school.”

An overjoyed Harriet said: “I’ve really enjoyed seeing my old friend.”

Home manager Pat Mumford said: “They sit together chatting away about their childhoods. It’s as if they were never apart.” (ANI)
