Kunming (China), July 21 (Xinhua) Two people were killed Monday and 14 injured in two separate explosions, suspected to be acts of subversion, on public buses in the southwest Chinese city. The police said preliminary investigations indicate that both the explosions were acts of criminal elements.
All the injured have been hospitalized.
Yunnan’s provincial authorities have ordered the transport department to tighten security, increase patrols and install new check posts on all exit points of the city to prevent the perpetrators from fleeing.
Border guards have also tightened security at all border exit and entry points.
