New York, March 3 (ANI): Actress Christina Haag, the former girlfriend of John F. Kennedy Jr., has recalled a harrowing near-death kayak ride with him during a vacation to Jamaica.

Haag, who dated the late magazine publisher for five years in the ’80s, wrote about him in her book, “Come to the Edge,” excerpted in the April issue of Vanity Fair, reports the New York Post.

She wrote that thrill-seeking Kennedy bought a tantric sex book on the vacation and the two smoked marijuana before he took her through rough waters while she nursed a broken leg.

“Just a little farther, Chief. It’ll be fun,” Kennedy nudged Haag.

The kayak almost collided with a boulder and was hit by a wave that plunged them underwater.

“This is it. We are going to die together,” she thought at the time.

They managed to get to safety.

But Kennedy’s reaction when she said they could have died was, “Yeah, Chief, but what a way to go.” (ANI)
