July 23rd, 2010 - 4:35 pm ICT by IANSMoscow, July 23 (IANS) A former Russian army colonel hanged himself in a police station after he was arrested on charges of raping two underage girls.
The unnamed former army officer, now a businessman, contacted the two girls on the internet and allegedly raped them in a car park near Kurskaya metro station here in the Russian capital, Moscow News reported Friday.
The girls remembered the licence plate of his vehicle and police arrested the suspect. He, however, killed himself in the Petrovka police station before the case could come to court.
