EU condemns Pakistan suicide blast near embassyJune 3rd, 2008 - 12:29 am ICT by IANS
Brussels, June 2 (Xinhua) The European Union (EU) Monday condemned the suicide car bombing near the Danish embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, that killed at least eight people. “I condemn the outrageous terrorist attack against the Danish Embassy in Islamabad,” EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said in a statement here.
He expressed his condolences to the authorities of Denmark and Pakistan and to the families of the dead and injured.
Two Pakistani police officers were also among the casualties. Around 30 people were wounded.
The Pakistani government has formed a joint team to probe the car bomb explosion.
