Ethiopian airliner crashes off Lebanon
January 25th, 2010 - 10:09 am ICT by IANSBeirut, Jan 25 (DPA) An Ethiopian airliner crashed into the sea shortly after taking off from Beirut airport early Monday, an airport official said.
The plane fell in the Saadiyat area about 15 km south of Beirut and poor weather conditions likely contributed to the crash, the official said.
No information was immediately available about the number of people aboard the flight.
