ET looking cereal, ‘New Zealand’ among weird things sold on Oz eBay!
October 9th, 2009 - 2:13 pm ICT by ANIMelbourne, October 9 (ANI): eBay Australia has revealed that a cereal that looked like ET is the weirdest item ever sold on its website - fetching more than a thousand dollars.
The online auction website has hosted strange auctions, but a thousand-dollar piece of Nutri-Grain resembling ET was dubbed as a favourite after it sold for a whopping 1035 dollars in December 2004.
Spokesperson Sian Gipslis revealed another whacky item sold on eBay Australia.
“Someone tried to sell New Zealand in 2006, which was quite hilarious. They listed it at a starting price of a cent… and I think it got up to somewhere around the 3000 dollars mark before we pulled it down,” News.com.au quoted Gipslis as saying.
Gipslis added: “Unfortunately (New Zealand) wasn’t something that we felt the person who was selling it actually owned, but it was a good bit of fun.” (ANI)
