New York, April 5 (DPA) Japan has requested an emergency Security Council session after North Korea launched a rocket from its east coast, a United Nations spokesman said.
“The UN is aware that the missile launch has occurred,” Brent Superville told DPA.
He said that there was no information on when the meeting would be held. He indicated that a statement from Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was expected.
