Eight Taliban killed in Afghanistan

Kabul, Jan 26 (IANS) Afghan security forces raided a Taliban hideout Wednesday in Takhar province, killing eight militants including a top commander, police said.Troops stormed the hideout in Khawjaghar district, 245 km north of Kabul, leaving dead eight rebels, including their commander Mullah Hamza, said Abdul Salam, deputy to provincial police chief.
The Taliban has not made any comment yet, Xinhua reported.
