Eight NATO tankers destroyed in Pakistan blast
June 8th, 2011 - 3:46 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, June 8 (IANS) At least eight tankers, supplying oil to International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan, were destroyed in an explosion in Pakistan’s Khyber Agency, Geo News reported Wednesday morning.
According to Khasadar force, the oil tankers were parked near Torkham border in Khyber Agency when an explosions occurred. The blast caused a huge fire which engulfed oil tankers. Eight tankers were completely destroyed.
No loss of life was reported in the incident till last report arrived, Geo News said.
Khyber Agency is one of the tribal areas in Pakistan’s FATA region, or Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
