Eight killed in Nigeria suicide bombing
August 6th, 2012 - 10:11 am ICT by IANSAbuja, Aug 6 (IANS) At least six soldiers and two civilians were killed in a suicide bomb attack Sunday on a military post in Nigeria’s northeast city of Damaturu by suspected Boko Haram bomber, Xinhua reported.
A man driving a SUV ran into a military check point at Shagari Low Cost Housing Estate along Gashua road and rather than stopping for search by the soldiers on duty, detonated explosive devices already wired on his car, said Yobe state commissioner of police Patrick Egbuniwe.
Six soldiers on duty and two civilians who were attempting to pass the road were blown off, he added.
