Ed Miliband denies surgery is to make voice more appealing to voters
April 23rd, 2011 - 6:09 pm ICT by ANILondon, Apr 23 (ANI): British Labour Party leader Ed Miliband’s office has denied he will undergo a surgery in an attempt to make his voice more appealing to voters.
Earlier, it was claimed that Miliband has been advised by his aides to have surgery because he sounds “bunged up” when he speaks.
But his spokesman said the politician needs an operation on his nasal passages because he has been diagnosed with sleep apnoea.
He clearly denied that Miliband’s surgery is to bring a change in his voice.
“Ed Miliband has been diagnosed with sleep apnoea, made worse by a deviated septum. On medical advice he is having a routine operation to correct the deviated septum at the end of July,” Sky News quoted Miliband’s spokesman, as saying.
Sleep apnoea is a condition in which a person stops breathing while sleeping because the throat muscles over-relax. It includes drowsiness during the day, poor performance at work, and the onset of depression. (ANI)
