Earthquake strikes Bhutan, tremors felt in Lhasa
September 21st, 2009 - 5:57 pm ICT by IANSLhasa, Sep 21 (Xinhua) An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale jolted Bhutan Monday afternoon and the tremors were felt in Lhasa, authorities said.
The tremors struck at 4:53 p.m. (Beijing Time), China earthquake networks center said.
People in Lhasa, capital of southwest China’s Tibet autonomous region, felt the tremors.
No casualties or property losses were reported, a Tibet regional seismological bureau spokesman said.
