The epicenter is 40 km (25 miles) NW of Guiuan, Samar, Philippines, 55 km (35 miles) E of Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines, 130 km (80 miles) SE of Calbayog, Samar, Philippines, 615 km (380 miles) SE of MANILA, Philippines.
