Dubai Customs foils bid to smuggle heroin
July 13th, 2010 - 11:32 pm ICT by IANSDubai, July 13 (IANS/WAM) The Dubai Customs Tuesday seized eight kilograms of heroin hidden inside an auto spare-parts consignment from an Asian country.
The inspectors spotted the contraband while scanning the shipment.
Omer Ahmed Al Muhairi, director of cargo operations, said the traffickers adopted different tricks to cheat the officials in the past, but Dubai Customs foiled the attempts.
