Dubai Customs foils bid to smuggle 7.3 kg of cocaine
June 22nd, 2010 - 12:02 am ICT by IANSDubai, June 21 (IANS/WAM) Dubai Customs officials said Monday they had foiled a bid by a Nigerian woman to smuggle 7.3 kg of cocaine into the country.
The cocaine was concealed in two travel bags. Officials described it as the largest drug bust of the year.
Director of Customs Operations at Dubai Airport Ali Al Mugahwi said the woman brought the cocaine to Dubai on the request of a drug dealer in her country.
