Don’t wear burqa, says British leader
February 22nd, 2010 - 12:36 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )London, Feb 22 (IANS) A British leader said he would prefer if Muslim women “didn’t wear a burqa” in the country, but added “you can’t ban it”.
Justice Secretary Jack Straw said he wished Muslim women would not wear burqa in Britain, Daily Express reported Monday.
“I would prefer if people didn’t wear a burkha but you can’t ban it. It might work in France but it won’t work here,” Straw was quoted as saying.
